2011 Amuse Bouche Napa Valley Red Blend

We are a bit late with our current year's offering, but are pleased to share with you our Amuse Bouche 2011. We are celebrating our tenth vintage - and we know you will be pleased with both the outstanding quality of the wine and the artwork associated with this vintage!

The Wine

The Amuse Bouche 2011 (96% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc) was harvested on October 24 and is currently resting in a combination of Taranssaud, Radoux and Gamba cooperage awaiting its March 2013 bottling date. Heidi describes this wine as boasting flavors of sweet black cherries and ripe plums with underlying aromas of chocolate, coffee bean, red licorice and exotic spice box. We plan to release the wine to you in the fall of 2013. 560 cases were produced.

The Artist: Diane Peterson

To grace the label of our Amuse Bouche 2011, we commissioned Diane Peterson who created Strawberries & Wine for us. Diane has been painting for more than 50 years since she became a US citizen in 1955. Her art has appeared at exhibitions all over the country. She is best known for her vibrant and colorful depictions of Napa Valley's wine country...and as the mother of Heidi Barrett! We hope you enjoy the beautiful art as much as we do! On the reverse of the postcard, you will note the art we have chosen for the 2012 vintage.

STEPHEN TANZER
2011 Vintage
"Bright ruby-red. Aromas of black raspberry, coffee bean, smoke and chocolate mint. Nicely concentrated and sauve, with very good smoky intensity to the currant, herb, cherry and floral flavors. This savory, vinous wine boasts a restrained sweetness nicely leavened by harmonious acidity. Finishes with smooth tannins and excellent length. Balanced to age, but already very easy to drink." - May 2014
